What Services Does BTRC Provide in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission ( BTRC )

' BTRC ' full Name Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission solves network-related problems in Bangladesh and provides good service at a low cost. BTRC's philosophy is to provide access to telecommunications services of acceptable quality to all, regardless of location.


Objectives of BTRC:

(a) increase teledensity to at least 10 telephones per 100 inhabitants by 2010;

(b) establishing one phone in every village by 2006;

(c) promote the use of ICT to support socio-economic development;

(d) creating an enabling environment and customer choice for ICT services;

(e) encouraging joint public-private cooperation in ICT development;

(f) Encouraging the use of ICT will help reduce poverty.
